Key Deliverables
- Bespoke design vision, concept, and layout
- Supply of all plants, consumables, and non-consumables
- Organization of manpower and machinery
- Complete on-ground execution of forest creation
Site and Feasibility Assessment
We assess the forest creation potential of any land. The area in question is evaluated on key site-readiness and feasibility parameters. An assessment report by Afforestt enables you to make informed decisions about:
- The type of forest most suitable to the local ecology and stakeholder needs
- Suitable forest density and effective execution area
- Estimated execution budget
- Pre-execution site-readiness planning, preparation, and next steps
As part of this service, we also conduct sessions with stakeholders to present our forest
creation methodology, explain the findings of the assessment, and outline the most
effective way forward.
Technical Consultation: Study, Research, and Design
We carry out detailed research and design to ensure that every forest project rests on a scientifically sound and context-specific foundation. This service involves studying the site’s ecological profile and selecting the most suitable indigenous flora, integrated into a holistic ecological and aesthetic design. The outcomes provide clarity, direction, and precision for the successful execution of the project.

- Forest layout and composition
- Maintenance practices
- Sustainability and environmental indicators: temperature, air quality, radiation,
electromagnetic waves, sound levels, and soil health - Project expenses and resource utilization
Training and Workshops
Our forest creation workshops provide an opportunity for people to learn how to create their own forests in an interactive, experiential and hands-on manner. It’s an interesting mix of classroom sessions and actual outdoor forest creation. Through these workshops participants acquire the skill, experience and knowledge they need to create forests in their respective regions.
Key Deliverables
- Training sessions tailored to the ecological context of the workshop location
- Introduction to the Afforestt methodology and principles of native forest creation
- Training on species selection, forest design, and sustainability considerations
- Practical demonstrations of soil preparation, plantation techniques, and maintenance
practices - Learning materials and resources for continued reference
- Capacity building to enable independent forest creation and stewardship
Online Training
Our online training programs make Afforestt’s forest creation methodology accessible to a global virtual audience. Through live, interactive sessions, we share methodology, SOP documents, case studies, videos, and photographs from our projects. The program
is designed to build the capacity of participants to conduct their own research, adapt the methodology to their local context, and create their own forests. It also offers clarity about the philosophy and science behind the approach.
Program structure (2 days, 4 hours each)
- Introduction to the Miyawaki Method and its global applications
- Species selection, soil preparation, and site readiness
- Forest Design
- Execution planning with project examples
- Maintenance and monitoring best practices
- Participants’ site discussions and Q&A
Ongoing Assistance
Our Ongoing Assistance service provides one-on-one guidance for individuals and small landowners who have been our trainees in the past and wish to create their own native forests. Unlike group trainings, this program is tailored to a specific project and supports participants through every stage of forest creation — from site readiness and species research to design, execution, and
maintenance.
